We are experienced in organising weddings both large and small, and will look after as much – or as little – as you want, from a simple reception to a full packages that include all printing requirements (invitation cards etc), catering, wine, flowers and live entertainment.
We can even arrange for a jeweller to meet you with a selection of engagement and wedding rings – or to arrange individually designed rings. It’s all part of the service.

PORTHMAWR COUNTRY HOUSE 2012 PEAK SEASON PRICES FOR WEDDINGS, EVENTS and CONFERENCES:
These prices are intended as guideline only, please view and discuss as we are a family owner run business with flexibility as the home for your event.
A1. Porthmawr Mansion whole house including cottage and apartment in peak season from 3pm Friday to 10.30am Monday comprising of 14 bedrooms and 7 reception areas, sleeping up to 33 persons.
(this cost can be shared by guests attending the 3 day event rather than using other accommodation providers)
NB. There may be discounts for mid-season by negotiation; there is an addition charge of £300 for a civil wedding ceremony.
B1. Banqueting Room only in conjunction with the above, this includes tableware, glasses, bar, use of the toilets and bar staff .
B2. Marquee on south lawn linking to the Mansion House used with the banqueting room to give additional dining space for 140 maximum. This marquee is exclusive to Porthmawr by County Marquees with clear gable ends and side to take in the fine views and includes lining, carpet plus table and chair hire. Please note that this arrangement uses the permanent indoor toilets and electricity from the outdoor sockets and hence saves approximately a £1000 of toilet and generator hire. (This includes use of the function room and marquee hire as above)
B3. Porthmawr Country House always provide the drinks package and bar, alternatively corkage for use of own wines is £8.00 per bottle for wine and £15.00 per bottle for champagne.
We have an option of 3 high quality bars to include beer dispense with python-system cooling, bottle display fridges, wine-cooling, glass hire, ice, glass-washing and well trained smart staffing. All bottles are recycled by us and hence an excellent presentation through-out your event.
To use the above as a free bar to guests a surcharge of £5.00 per head includes all the above with one bar-tender up to 120 guests, over 120 and up to 200 two bar-tenders, in this case hirer to supply drinks directly from wholesaler.
B4. Use of Front Lawn for a marquee is by negotiation, however to fully appreciated the panoramic views this area is best left clear, particularly for photographs. The other option is to use the North lawn, enclosed by the yew hedge.
C1. SPECIAL OFFER 33% DISCOUNT for 3 day event wedding mid-week or weekend wedding November to February, excluding Christmas and New Year weeks.
DAY WEDDINGS without accommodation can be accommodated mid-week but rarely on weekends unless low season, November to February, excluding Christmas and New Year weeks. Price by negotiation
D1. Civil wedding room hire only without other services.
Options being :-Gatehouse, dining-room, drawing room, veranda or new function room (licence being applied for the new area) with access to ground floor of mansion house.
D2. Banqueting Room only for meal and bar with dance area, maximum 72 persons for formal wedding breakfast and 100 evening.
D3. Civil Wedding Room hire as option D1 plus banqueting room for meal and evening bar and dancing until 1am.
NB. Floral decoration is extra or payable directly to supplier of your choice.

Catering using one of our recommended and trusted suppliers:-Prickly Pear Catering, Sugarloaf Catering or Charlotte Roskill.
Pay bar prices are always comparable to local pub pricing.
Please provide us with your brief for the event and list of options, plus more detail of meal requirement whereupon we will be pleased to provide you with a formal quotation.
To book the venue we require a 25% deposit and balance of payment 2 months in advance of the event.
